Where Should I Apply My Essential Oils?

If you remember from anatomy or biology class, human body senses
through nervous system that ends up in processing department which is our brain. Anytime you apply, rub, or massage essential oils into your skin, sensory receptors are activated. These receptor cells are located all over our body made of protein molecules with binding sites on them for different types of molecules. Binding site activated when a molecule attach itself to the site and generates electrical signals to brain. These signals travels to your muscles, organs, or olfactory receptors when using essential oils and trigger response
in amygdala, which is involved in the emotions you experience. Some familiar receptors are your taste buds. When you eat, the food or drink interacts with saliva, and molecules bind to the taste receptors in your mouth. These receptors encounter nerve cells, which communicate a specific flavor to your brain. (picture is from Young Living website).
