Jiljewelry is an online shop created by hard working mother and daughter. Zhila & Sara pour out love, passion and experience onto each item.
Zhila Pirzadeh was born in 1966, in Shiraz, Iran, a city famous for its poetry, gardens, art and wine. Zhila’s love of art started when she was only 8 years old when she watched and asked her neighbor curiously to teach her how to crochet a baby blanket.
Zhila’s passion in learning to do handmade arts increased as she self-taught herself with magazine and friends doing crochet, knitting, macramé, polymer clay flower making and got tailoring certification in 1996. Later in life Zhila, discovered acrylic paint on glass, miniature painting, fiber weaving and fabric doll making as well. In her spare time as a mother of two, she thought young girls to do art and crafts at her home to encourage better use of spare time and financial dependency based on selling art works.
A year before her immigration to Montreal, Canada, she started learning metal works and jewelry. “I discovered silence and serenity side of myself” as she said many times to Mr. Arjomand, a famous metalwork artist in Shiraz.
Zhila has attended many art exhibitions in Iran, Montreal, and recently in Arkansas and New Orleans. Her handmade jewelries made with healing and gemstones includes variety and diverse scale of customers and her work was recently admired at mini maker faire 2019 by many attendees.
Zhila moved to Benton, Arkansas to help her daughter upon birth of her granddaughter and felt in love with beauty, nature and hospitality of Arkansas. She hopes to stay for good and open her Jil Jewelry shop one day.
